Minimum requirements for computers connected to the LUSD network

All computers must meet the following minimum requirements in order to be allowed on the District network:

  • Intel P4 2.0 GHz processor
  • 40 GB hard drive
  • 1 GB RAM
  • 17" LCD monitor
  • 10/100/1000 Gigabit ethernet card
  • Combo Drive CD-RW/DVD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive
  • 1+ USB 2.0 connection or IEEE1394A connection
  • Windows XP Professional with Sevice Pack 2
  • Microsoft Office 2003
Macintosh requirements
  • PowerPC G4 or G5 processor
  • 40 GB hard drive
  • 1 GB RAM
  • 17" LCD monitor
  • 10/100/1000 Gigabit ethernet card
  • Combo Drive or SuperDrive
  • 1+ USB 2.0 connection or Firewire connection
